asked the Minister of Works whether he will investigate all possible means of expanding the production of clay roofing tiles to assist the housing programme.

My present information is that supplies of roofing materials are adequate. I am in touch with the Clay Federation, and will discuss with them ways of expanding production of clay tiles if the need arises.
