Mr. Baker Whiteasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence what percentage, approximately, of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force are engaged upon the discharge of defence commitments outside the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. BirchAt 30th September some 24 per cent. of the Armed Forces were serving in areas, or based on stations, outside the limits of the United Kingdom and North-West Europe. I regret that it would not be in the public interest to particularise further.
