HC Deb 10 May 1951 vol 487 c243W
69. Mr. Janner

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in view of the number of cars which will be parked in bombed sites in London during the period of the Festival of Britain, what protection will be given to such cars to ensure that they are not robbed of parts or taken away by an unauthorised person.

Mr. Ede

The special car parks are being managed by National Car Parks Limited who employ uniformed attendants. Most of the parks are connected by telephone direct to the local police headquarters and the extra police on duty in the areas concerned will give all possible attention to parked cars.
