HC Deb 02 May 1951 vol 487 c145W
63. Mr. Renton

asked the Minister of Food whether he is aware that the retail distribution of food, particularly between Huntingdon and South Wales, has recently been impeded by the refusal of British Railways to accept delivery of goods consigned to South Wales; and what steps he is taking to ensure that alternative means of transport are made available to food distributors.

Mr. F. Willey

No such difficulty has been reported to me but in any particular case our regional staff, in consultation with the local officers of the British Transport Commission, will be glad to help.
