HC Deb 26 February 1951 vol 484 c251W
91. Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Supply why specific authority was not sought from the Treasury for meeting the loss of £632,379 on the operation of three steel-making agency factories.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

The three factories in question were acquired or built during the war with Treasury approval and their continued operation was not deemed to require a renewal of that approval.
