HC Deb 26 February 1951 vol 484 c244W
Squadron Leader A. E. Cooper

asked the Minister of Food what tonnage of linseed oil was distributed to industry during 1950; to what trades was this allocated; and what was tonnage in each case.

Mr. Webb

The quantity of linseed oil distributed by my Department for all purposes during 1950 was just under 130,000 tons. I cannot give details of the amounts taken by individual industries as the allocation scheme came to an end on 2nd July, 1950; but the principal users are of course the paint and varnish and linoleum manufacturers.
