HC Deb 05 February 1951 vol 483 cc176-7W
Sir J. Lucas

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction among the Forces in Japan due to the delivery of mail by British Overseas Airways Corporation planes at Tokyo instead of in the vicinity of the troops; and whether he will consider the use of Royal Air Force planes on a regular service to deliver mail to the Forces.

Mr. Ness Edwards

I am unaware that there is any dissatisfaction amongst the members of His Majesty's Forces in Japan for the reasons mentioned, but I am looking into the matter and will write to the hon. and gallant Member as soon as possible.
