Mr. Smithersasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps are being taken to assist in the formation of a centre for West Indian students in London.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe West Indian Governments were informed by my right hon. Friend's predecessor of the proposal to set up a centre for West Indian students in London and invited to approve it in principle. They were also asked if they would contribute towards the capital and recurrent costs. Certain only of the Governments have so far replied and I am making further inquiry of the remainder.
