HC Deb 02 August 1951 vol 491 c229W
Mr. Aitken

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware that immediately after two outbreaks of swine fever had been reported on farms at Kenny Hill and Kedington in Suffolk, there was delay in providing swine fever vaccine for neighbouring farmers; and when the vaccine will be made available by his Department in view of the seriousness of such an outbreak to the many pig farmers in West Suffolk.

Mr. T. Williams

As I stated in my reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Aberdeenshire, West (Mr. Spence) on 26th July, I am aware that there has been a temporary shortage of this vaccine, but I hope that supplies will be available for issue to farmers in Suffolk in the course of the next few days.
