HC Deb 02 August 1951 vol 491 c270W
118. Mr. Amory

asked the Minister of Supply whether he is aware that there is now a delay of about two years in the delivery of three-inch and four-inch cast iron pipes to water authorities, and that this is holding up work in connection with the provision of rural water supplies: and what action is being taken to increase supplies.

Mr. M. Stewart

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Torrington (Mr. Lambert) on 31st July.

Mr. Amory

asked the Minister of Supply what have been the respective allocations during the past two years of cast iron pipes for the gas and water undertakings respectively.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

It is not the practice to disclose allocations for particular purposes.
