§ 71. Mr. Errollasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the uncertainty caused by his intention to impose Purchase Tax on portrait photographs, if he will define exactly what types of photograph are included in the term "portrait photographs" so that portrait and commercial photographers may adjust their forward purchases of tax-free photographic materials accordingly.
§ Mr. JayDiscussions are in progress with the main trade associations concerned, with a view to finding a suitable definition for this purpose; I cannot at the moment therefore give more definite information on the matter.
