asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what, on the figure for the first quarter of 1951, would be the estimated loss of revenue if all motor cars paid the £10 tax.

The figures for the first quarter do not give us the basis for an estimate of the loss of revenue which would result: on the latest figures we have, the estimate is about £6 million a year.
