asked the Minister of Health what is the average delay in supplying spectacles to applicants.

Mr. Bevan

The majority of glasses can now be supplied with very little delay. Certain complicated lenses, such as bifocals, are still subject to delay but arrears are being reduced.

12. Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Health when Mrs. Florence Haacke of St. Almo, East Hill, South Darenth, Dart-ford, Kent, may expect to receive her glasses, particulars of which have been sent to him.

This lady should receive her glasses in about four weeks' time.
