HC Deb 04 May 1950 vol 474 c211W
21. Mr. Prescott

asked the Minister of Health what, from the inception of the National Health Service to the most recent convenient date, has been the cost of prescribed proprietary medicines; what would have been the figure if Purchase Tax had not been payable; and what was the total cost of drugs and medicines prescribed in the above period.

Mr. Bevan

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Wembley, South (Mr. Russell) on 30th March.
