HC Deb 17 March 1950 vol 472 c79W
Mr. Gammans

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what was the amount of tax collected from greyhound bookmakers and from totalisators, installed on greyhound tracks, respectively, in each week since the beginning of the year.

Mr. Jay

Exact figures are cot available for separate weeks; but since the beginning of the year the weekly receipts of Bookmakers' Licence Duty have averaged about £43,000, and of Pool Betting Duty from the totalisators at greyhound race courses about £125,000.
