Noel-BakerThe regulations prescribing the principles on which severance compensation to local authorities in respect of their gas and electricity undertakings is to be distributed are in the course of preparation and will be published as soon as possible. I understand from the Gas Council and the British Electricity Authority that compensation should be paid to the authorities shortly after the regulations are made.
