HC Deb 04 December 1950 vol 482 c18W
Mr. Baker White

asked the Minister of Works if he will cause the roof of Westminster Hall to be floodlit in the winter months from 11.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays inclusive, to enable visitors to see its beauty and unique construction.

Mr. Stokes

At present any Member with a party wishing to see the roof floodlit can do so by telephoning the Engineering Control Room at Extension 800. The lighting is, of course, more effective after dark, but I will consider the question of lighting the roof at stated periods.
