§ Mr. Asshetonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether in the Financial Statement to be issued in connection with the Budget for 1950–51, he will separate the estimated below the line payments under the Overseas Resources Development Act, 1948, between those intended for the Colonial Development Corporation and for the Overseas Food Corporation and in the latter case between those intended for the East African Groundnuts Scheme and for other activities of the Corporation.
§ Sir S. CrippsI propose that the Financial Statement should show separately Exchequer advances in connection with the Colonial Development Corporation and the Overseas Food Corporation. But I do not think that it would be appropriate to give a more detailed breakdown of these advances.
