HC Deb 04 April 1950 vol 473 c125W
65. Mr. Boardman

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer at what premises in Leigh must appellants appearing before the Commissioners of Inland Revenue attend for the hearing of their appeals; and what is the normal use of these premises.

Sir S. Cripps

I assume that my hon. Friend is referring to the General Commissioners of Income Tax. They are independent bodies and neither I nor the Board of Inland Revenue have any responsibility for their accommodation. I understand that meetings of the Commissioners at Leigh are normally held in the Magistrates' Court.
