§ 93. Mr. Rentonasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the increased cost of spare parts for agricultural machinery imported from the United States of America and Canada, he will reduce the import duties on them so as to prevent the increase in the costs of agricultural production which would otherwise result.
§ Mr. BottomleyWe are always prepared to consider representations from users of imported goods for variations in the rates of import duties. In considering such representations we must, of course, take into account the views of United Kingdom industries concerned with the production of similar goods.
