§ Mr. F. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Pensions why the payment of a pension to Mr. W. F. Jones, 38, Bollo Lane, Chiswick, W.4, pension book No. GN. 7544, was terminated on 4th May last; and whether he will arrange for the necessary forms to be sent forthwith to Mr. Jones to enable him to appeal against this decision.
§ Mr. MarquandAt the last medical examination in April, 1948, the disablement was assessed at less than 20 per cent. Mr. Jones was awarded a final weekly allowance, plus a gratuity of £40, which was paid in April last. He was informed of his right of appeal. At no time has Mr. Jones indicated to my Department dissatisfaction with this award but I am arranging for him to be medically examined again.
