§ 48. Sir T. Mooreasked the Minister of Food to what extent bullocks, heifers and cow heifers respectively are bought on his behalf in the Dublin market; and how the prices for such cow heifers in that market compare with the prices paid for cow heifers purchased on his behalf in the British Isles.
§ Dr. SummerskillCattle are not bought in Dublin market on my behalf: they are exported by Eire shippers and purchased on arrival here at specified slaughterhouses. The prices we pay are approximately the same as we pay for Eire bred stores fattened for more than two months in this country and are about 1d. per 1b. less than for home-bred animals.
