Where intoxicating liquor is supplied in quantities of less than half a pint in England and Wales, and in quantities of less than one pint in Scotland, sale by Imperial measure is not compulsory, nor is the quantity supplied required to be stated in terms of measure. The retail sale of intoxicating liquors is at present being investigated by the Committee which was set up last year to review existing weights and measures legislation.
