§ Mr. Piratinasked the Minister of Food if arising from the programme cuts of food announced last year with the aim of 91W reaching a saving of £12 million per month, he can now state month by month what has been the saving in money, the quantities of foods concerned and the effect on the national nutrition standards.
§ Mr. StracheySince these cuts were announced the position has changed so much as a result of price movements and of bilateral agreements with food exporting countries that it is no longer possible to make a valid estimate of the saving.
