§ Mr. StracheyStocks of food and feedingstuffs owned and controlled by my Ministry and those held by certain food processors, manufacturers and wholesalers, were 7 per cent. lower at the end of August, 1948, than at the same date in 1947 and 9 per cent. higher than at the same date in 1946.
