HC Deb 04 November 1948 vol 457 c109W
Mr. Prescott

asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what representations are to be made by His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom to protect British requirements, in view of the Soviet offer to purchase the entire rubber output of the Dominion of Ceylon.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

The United Kingdom requirements for rubber are at present being met. No question, therefore, arises of representations to the Government of Ceylon on this account.
