HC Deb 04 May 1948 vol 450 c114W
76. Mr. Platts-Mills

asked the President of the Board of Trade what instructions have been given to the British delegation which is visiting Madrid to discuss financial and trade questions with the Spanish Government.

Mr. Bottomley

As the hon. Member will be aware from the reply given on 29th April to my hon. Friend the Member for Winchester (Mr. G. Jeger), the purpose of the talks now taking place in Madrid is to review the Monetary Agreement with Spain of March, 1947.
