asked the President of the Board of Trade for what reason it has been found necessary to increase the maximum prices of ground sulphur as indicated in S.I. No. 751 of 1948.

Mr. Bottomley

The increase in the maximum prices of ground sulphur was due solely to advances in both the producer's selling price of crude sulphur and in freight rates, which were made on 1st January last.
