asked the Minister of Supply if his attention has been drawn to the shortage of steel for shuttle-making; and what steps he has taken to speed up supplies of shuttles to the weaving-end of the cotton industry.

Yes. We are in touch with the shuttle makers and have suggested an alternative source of supply which should relieve the shortage.
