HC Deb 28 October 1947 vol 443 c52W
90. Mr. Nield

asked the President of the Board of Trade to what extent the decision to permit the natural heirs or legatees of the victims of Nazi persecution, who are permanently resident in the United Kingdom, to receive their net share of the property of the deceased which is now under the control of the Custodian of Enemy Property is made dependent on such heirs and legatees being in straitened financial circumstances, such deceased having been murdered, and such heirs being the immediate or direct heirs of the deceased.

Mr. Bottomley

Releases of this class of property are made to the natural heirs or legatees of victims of Nazi persecution who are permanently resident in the United Kingdom subject to their claims as beneficiaries being legally established and defined. They are not subject to the further limiting conditions mentioned in the last part of the Question.
