asked the Minister of Labour what proportion of the total number of men so far called up in 1947 has been allotted to the Royal Navy, the Army and the R.A.F., respectively.

Of the men called up under the National Service Acts in the ten months ending 31st October, 1947, 7.6 per cent. have been allotted to the Royal Navy; 66.2 per cent. to the Army and 26.2 per cent. to the Royal Air Force.
