§ Mr. Sharpasked the President of the Board of Trade what action he is taking to reinforce the third appeal of Wool Control to wool textile manufacturers to make a fairer share of woollen and worsted clothes available for the men's clothing trade.
§ Mr. H. WilsonProduction of men's made-up wool outerwear in 1947 is about 10 per cent. greater than in 1946, whereas in the women's section production is rather below the 1946 level. In the circumstances I do not think that any further action is required to reinforce the appeal the Wool Controller has made to the trade.
