75. Mr. Maude

asked the Minister of Works how much cement, timber and steel has been allocated to Exeter for the next six months or any other period which may have been fixed.

Mr. Key

Allocation of cement, timber, and steel are not made in respect of individual towns and I am unable to give the hon. and learned Member the information he requests.

77. Mr. Lambert

asked the Minister of Works what was the total quantity of cement and timber allocated to Devonshire for building during the past 12 months; and of these quantities, what proportion was allocated for rural as opposed to urban building; and whether he will give an estimate of the allocations for the coming 12 months for Devonshire, and what proportion will be available for rural building.

Allocations of cement and timber are not made by counties and I am unable to give the information for which the hon. and gallant Members asks.
