53. Mr. Scott-Elliotasked the Minister of Labour whether he will give a firm assurance that the Government's plans for reorganisation of industry will not lead to further delay or curtailment of the approved programme of the Disabled Persons Employment Corporation Limited, to establish Remploy Factories for the employment of severely disabled persons.
§ Mr. IsaacsWhile I cannot give the categorical assurance asked for by my hon. Friend, I can assure him that the Government appreciates fully the importance of these factories and will facilitate their completion to the maximum extent consistent with the needs of the present economic situation.
