§ Major Legge-Bourkeasked the Minister of Supply if he will issue a statement showing what proportions of the total cost of his Department are attributable to activities concerned with the Royal Navy, the Army, the Royal Air Force, Civil Aviation, housing equipment, agricultural equipment, other industrial equipment, disposal of surplus stores, control of metals, general licensing, research into and production of atomic energy, and the residue of all other activities.
§ Mr. G. R. StraussI regret that the accounts of my Department are not prepared in such a way as to enable me to give this information, but the hon. and gallant Member will find some indication of the amount spent on these services in Civil Estimates 1947/48, Class X, Item 1.
