asked the Minister of Transport to what extent he has inquired into the methods adopted for facilitating transport, in case of severe weather conditions, in Canada and similar countries where this problem is constantly present during certain seasons in the year; and what steps he proposes to take in consequence of the information he has received from such sources.18W

My right hon. Friend is aware of the methods used for facilitating transport in Canada and other countries where long spells of severe weather are common, and he is considering, in the light of recent experience, whether any changes are necessary in our own organisation or equipment.
