HC Deb 12 March 1947 vol 434 c201W
98. Mr. Renton

asked the Secretary of State for Air when it is intended to de-requisition Old Court Hall, Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire, and the huts adjoining, so that they may be made available to the Godmanchester Borough Council which requires them urgently for civilian housing; and whether he is aware that those premises have not been occupied by the R.A.F. for nearly two years.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

Old Court Hall, Godmanchester, and the adjoining huts were in full use by the Royal Air Force until February, 1946. Since then the Hall has been looked after by a care and maintenance party and the huts have been occupied by squatters. We are now hoping to take over both the Hall and the huts for use as married quarters for the neighbouring R.A.F. Station at Brampton Park.
