HC Deb 12 March 1947 vol 434 c203W
103. Wing-Commander Hulbert

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation if he is aware that no facilities exist at the London airport for passengers to telephone once they have passed the Customs and Emigration officers; and if he will remedy this.

Mr. Lindgren

There are four telephone kiosks available for arriving passengers once they have passed the Customs and Immigration officers. At present no public telephone is available for departing passengers. A telephone is, however, being installed for the use of passengers before they pass through the Customs and further kiosks will be provided if there is sufficient demand.
