§ 121. Squadron-Leader Donner
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a statement upon the claim of Argentina to the possession of the Falkland Islands, in view of the recent exchange of Notes on this subject.
The Argentine has put forward claims to the sovereignty of the212W Falkland Islands Colony and of its Dependencies, which are not admitted by His Majesty's Government. These claims have occasioned considerable correspondence between the two Governments, and His Majesty's Ambassador addressed a note to the Argentine Minister for Foreign Affairs on 3rd January, 1947, rebutting the Argentine claims.
