asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when approval will be sanctioned for civilians of the Control Commission to marry German nationals, in view of the fact that on 4th December it was announced that such civilians might now so act.

As I stated in my answer to the hon. Member on the 4th December, the Commander-in-Chief in Germany has authority to permit such marriages.
