asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the hardship imposed on wives who wish to join their husbands serving in the Army in Egypt, but for whom no adequate civilian accommodation is available; and whether he anticipates it will be possible in the near future to provide increased accommodation for the wives of officers and men serving in the Middle East.

Yes, Sir. A substantial number of additional married quarters of a semi-permanent nature is being built in the Canal Zone.
