asked the Minister of Supply what proportion of the 3,656,000 gallons of paints and distempers were sold; to whom were they sold; and what sum was realised.

Approximately 80 per cent. was sold. The remainder, consisting mainly of camouflage paint which is not required for civil purposes, was destroyed. There were numerous sales transactions and many of them were carried out by regional offices. Details are as follow:
