HC Deb 04 March 1947 vol 434 c40W
78. Mr. J. L. Williams

asked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware of the dissatisfaction at Bovington camp, near Wareham, Dorset, where soldiers live in unheated, uninhabitable wooden huts which they consider to be a serious danger to health; and whether he will take steps to remedy the position.

Mr. Bellenger

This camp consists of good huts, constructed of part wood and part brick, which are adequately heated. No dissatisfaction with the living conditions has been reported and the medical authorities state that the standard of health is high.
