Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Health if he will derequisition the house of a Doctor of Music of London University, whose name and circumstances have been submitted to him, and whose professional work is handicapped by his being deprived of his house since 1940 by the Finchley Corporation who are paying him a rent considerably less than his expenditure entailed by the loss of the house.
§ Mr. BevanNo, Sir. The housing shortage in Finchley is much too acute to admit of release from requisitioning in this case. The compensation rent payable is at present under discussion between the owner and the Inland Revenue Department.
