§ 41. Mr. T. Lewis
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make the proceedings of the Malayan Union Advisory Council open to the public and the reports of the meetings fully reported, similar to those of parliamentary proceedings in this country.
Mr. Creech Jones
Proceedings of the Malayan Union Advisory Council are open to the Press and public. The newspapers give verbatim reports of matters of public interest, and copies of papers laid on the Council table are supplied to the Press. A bound volume of the proceedings far 1946 will be ready for sale to the public about June next, and, in the meantime, printed copies of the proceedings and papers are on sale after each meeting.
