Mr. Piratinasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many natives of the Ellice Islands are employed by the U.S. Navy on Johnston Island; how the labour is obtained by the British authorities for the U.S. Navy; what payments are made to the British authorities; and what wages are paid to the Ellice Islands natives.
