HC Deb 10 February 1947 vol 433 cc2-3W
31. Mr. S. Marshall

asked the Minister of Food whether he will take steps to effect a revaluation of points at an early opportunity, especially in view of the chaos caused by the exchange of bread rationing coupons for other goods.

Mr. Strachey

Points values are, and always have been, moved up and down each month in order to equate supply and demand for particular commodities. I entirely deny that there is a state of chaos in the scheme.
