HC Deb 05 February 1947 vol 432 cc355-6W
Mr. McKay

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he is aware that the U.N.O. General Assembly rejected, on 12th February, 1946, a suggestion that all displaced persons, irrespective of their wishes concerning repatriation, should be controlled by the representatives of the State from which they came; and, in the light of this decision, if he will examine closely the correspondence sent to him by the hon. Member for Wallsend relating to the dismissal of Dr. Zimmer in the Haren district and satisfy himself that this action was justified.

Mr. J. Hynd

I am having inquiries made and will communicate with my hon. Friend later.
