§ Mr. Belcher
As has been stated on numerous occasions, His Majesty's Government are taking all steps open to them to develop Anglo-Soviet trade on a mutually advantageous basis to the maximum possible extent. My right hon. and learned Friend has had a number of talks with Mr. Klentsov, the Soviet Trade Representative, who is at present on a visit to Moscow. We have also proposed to the Soviet Government that my hon. 315W Friend, the Secretary for Overseas Trade, should go to Moscow in the very near future for further discussions.
