§ 73. Mr. Willisasked the President of the Board of Trade the total number of men and women, respectively, for whom work has been, and will be provided by the new factories and extensions approved by his Department to the latest available date.
§ Mr. Belcher2,736 new factories and extensions were approved up to 31st December, 1946, and these should, when in full production, provide work for 188,510 men and 176,290 women. Figures of workers already in employment in new factories and extensions at 31st December, 1946, are not readily available.
